There’s a good chance it is because you haven’t cleaned the needle in a long time…or maybe ever! Every time you put a single cup into the brewer, the needles that pierce through the cup end up with a little bit of residue from that cup on them. After making cup after cup, this residue buildup on the needle and drip mechanism can dull the flavor of your favorite roasts; especially if you are like us and prefer to Mix-n-Match your flavors!

With Quick + Clean cups you can clean the needles and drip mechanism quickly without any harmful chemicals or terrible vinegar aftertaste. Simply insert the cup like you would your favorite coffee, tea or hot chocolate and “brew” it 2 times on the largest cup setting. Then remove the Quick + Clean cup and “brew” 2 more times with no cup in the brewer. That’s it! The needle and drip mechanism should remain clean for approximately 3 - 4 months, depending on how many cups you brew per day.
